Bay and Berry Christmas Swag

You can swag together pretty much any type of foliage, fruit and vegetables to make beautiful decorated hangings for Christmas. For this particular one we already had three strands of frosted berries on wire. I used this as a base and added the fir branches everyone trims from the bottom of the Christmas tree, bay leaves from the bay tree, attaching them with florist wire and fanned them out behind the berries. Then I laid them end to end on the hearth and pulled through the different leaves and berries. To finish it off it's nice to lay a strand of frosted fairy-lights behind the swag and positioned them within the gaps near the berries so it all twinkles beautifully when the lights are on.
