Tomas Graves does not lie. Deia is beyond beautiful. The kind of place people pen many poems about. Rolling mountains, lemon groves, orange trees, pa amb oil, pa amb tomaquet, spicy-sweet piemento du padron, tumbet, sandy coloured houses, tucked away, carved within the rocks' face...I can't pen a poem but you get the gist.
The pictures here leave a lot to be desired, some of the food is half eaten, I forgot about taking pretty pictures for once, and looking back I don't think I could have done it justice if I'd have tried. When you're reveling in all the beauty that is a wedding at La Residencia it's easy to let tings slide. The food did not disappoint. Pea voulet, mushroom risotto with roasted asparagus, stacked green tomatoes with lavender balsamic glaze, seasonal vegetable lasagna, white chocolate cannelloni and hand-made truffles. Go soon if you haven't already.
